A corner of peace in Cherasco.
The Giardino dei Semplici was born from the recovery of the original medieval garden, inspired by the life of the monastic community that inhabited these places and whose day was accompanied by the care of the garden, the rose garden, the garden corner and the orchard.
Surrounded by a wall built with river pebbles and lined with bricks, the garden consists of four flower beds arranged in a cross and is composed of a typically medieval layout, a rose garden and a flowery meadow. A portion is then dedicated to teaching: here you can learn about the different cultivation techniques and the vegetables used before the discovery of America. Four fruit trees: an apple tree, a pomegranate, a medlar and a holly, to symbolize the passing of the seasons.
